Safety
Meet well, and meet safely.
Compatibility can be read in a chart. Trust is built in person, slowly, on your own terms. Here is how we help with the second part, and what we ask of everyone here.
Before and when you meet
Take your time on the app
There is no hurry to move to a phone number or another app. The conversation is right here, and it is where blocking and reporting work.
Meet somewhere public
A café, a restaurant, a walk in daylight. Somewhere with other people around, for the first few times.
Tell someone
Let a friend know who you are meeting, where, and when you expect to be home. Share your location if it helps.
Keep your own way home
Arrange your own transport there and back, and keep the means to leave whenever you want to.
A video call first is fine
A short call before you meet is a normal thing to ask for. Someone who refuses every time is telling you something.
Never send money
No one you have met on a dating app needs money, gift cards, crypto or your account details. Anyone who asks is not who they say they are. Report them.
Trust the feeling
If something is off, it is off. You do not owe anyone an explanation for leaving, ending a conversation, or blocking.
Community guidelines
These are the terms everyone agrees to when they join. Breaking them can mean a warning, a removed photo or prompt, or the end of an account, depending on what happened.
Be yourself
Real photos of you, a real name or the nickname people know you by, a real birth date. Profiles that impersonate someone, or someone who does not exist, are removed.
Adults only
Every member is 18 or older. We remove accounts that are not, and we report content that sexualises minors to the authorities.
Consent, always
Nobody owes you a reply, a photo, a meeting, or a second date. Ask, accept the answer, and never send explicit images unasked.
No harassment, no hate
No threats, no slurs, no targeting of anyone for their gender, orientation, race, religion, disability or body. One report is enough for us to look.
No selling, no soliciting
No commercial services, no crypto, no links to pay for anything, no recruiting for anything.
Keep other people private
Do not post screenshots of conversations, photos of people who are not you, or anyone's personal details.
Blocking and reporting
Every profile, match and conversation has a menu with Block, Report and Unmatch. Blocking ends the match and keeps the two of you out of each other's sight for good; the other person is not told. A report reaches us with the reason you chose and anything you add, and we read every one. Blocked people cannot find you again, and unblocking later does not bring a match back.
Child safety
My Beloved is for adults. We do not allow anyone under 18 to hold an account, and we have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse or exploitation in any form: no such content, no grooming, no attempt to contact a minor through the service. Accounts involved are removed and, where the law requires or allows it, reported to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in the United States. If you believe a member is under 18, or you see anything that endangers a child, report the profile from its menu or write to us through the contact page, and we will act on it as a priority.
If you are in danger
Call your local emergency number first. In the United States that is 911. Then tell us what happened through the contact page so we can act on the account involved.
